Judging Criteria
Our independent panel of judges care about one thing–your work. And regardless of your team’s size, you’re only as good as the product you’ve made. Depending on your category, your achievements will be considered under four simple criteria:
Experiential / Design
The user-end of a project or solution, we’re talking about usability, experience, and design sensibility. This could apply to environmental, physical, digital and UX. If your innovation is purely technical, the Judges will weigh how well you’ve Solved A Real World Problem instead.
Application of Technology
If you’ve taken on a complex technical challenge, the Judges want to hear about it. Similarly, good innovation can come from the simplest solution. Does your solution use the appropriate amount of tech? Our Judges will evaluate according to the use case.
Solving A Real World Problem
The cornerstone of all good design and engineering is providing a solution. Can you clearly convey the problem or opportunity that your work is addressing? Tell the Judges how you’re helping real people and business.
Innovative
Our Judges are interested in wholesale and incremental advancements. Is there something unique, interesting, or new about your solution? Does it borrow from another industry, cleverly integrate with other things, or make life easier? Tell us everything.

Ever won an award and had to pay for the trophy? Gross.
Best in Category – The single highest-scoring entry in each category will take top prize. There is only one Winner awarded per category. The custom-made, striking, and personalized Convrt statuette will be shipped to each winner of every category.
Category Finalists – The next highest-scoring, non-winning entries of each category are awarded the title of Finalists. There are typically one or two Finalists named per category. Each will receive a customized printed certificate recognizing your achievement.
All Entrants will be notified by email once judging has been finalized. The full list of winners and finalists will be shared on the website and all social media channels. All awards—statuettes and certificates—are sent to recipients at no cost for either prize, or shipping.

Any work entered must have been completed in the 18 months prior to your date of entry
Ownership
You must have been a primary vendor behind any project you enter or the primary company behind any solution or innovation.
Real World Work
If a project, your entry must have been executed to solve a real problem for a real-live client (i.e. no spec work, please). If you are submitting as a startup or solution provider then the platform or application must be real and functioning (no vaporware or wireframes).
Unacceptable Material
Entries that contain pornographic material, propagate “hate” messages, make defamatory statements or that are otherwise offensive are not eligible.
Intellectual Property
We assume that all entries are original and the entrant either owns the work or has permission from the appropriate party to enter the judging. If an entrant without such rights submits an entry, it will not be eligible for the competition.
Currently Ineligible Countries
Innovation isn’t limited to one country or group of countries, and this is global competition. That being said, unfortunately at this time due to international sanctions, the following countries cannot participate in the competition:
Belarus, Cuba, Eritrea, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, Iraq, Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Haiti, Libya, Vietnam, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Liberia, Cyprus, Zimbabwe, Lebanon, Central African Republic
Terms and Conditions of Entry/Usage
Submission of any entry (including video) acknowledges the right of Convrt to use it for exhibition, promotion and publication purposes in any medium.
If an entry receives an award, the manner and details of announcing that nomination and award is up to the discretion of Convrt. The entrant understands that all awards may not be given or publicized in the same manner and some might be presented in a ceremony and others might not.

Which of course also means there’s no excuse not to enter from the comfort of your own home or office.
